Independent music venues across North Texas have packed November with 10 distinct events featuring over 130 local and regional acts. The schedule spans Dallas, Denton, and Fort Worth, offering residents a wide range of genres from garage pop to Americana roots rock. These gatherings aim to support local artists and keep audiences engaged during the cooler months.

One of the longest-running commitments on the calendar is the Zounds Sounds 21-day anniversary concert series. Running through Nov. 21 at Zounds Sounds B-Side Dallas, the event marks 21 years of the school's operation. The series will feature 21 consecutive nights of music with more than 40 participating acts. Artists on the lineup include Marc Solomon, Amy Curnow, Jackson Scribner, and Las Filosas.

Shorter tours and specific shows anchor the middle of the month. The Deathray Davies, a Dallas garage pop band, will release their new album LAMPSHADE EARTHQUAKE MICROPHONE with a three-city mini tour from Nov. 5 to Nov. 7. They will perform at Rubber Gloves Rehearsal Studios in Denton, Tulips FTW in Fort Worth, and Far-Out in Dallas. Supporting acts include Helium Queens and Buttercup. The Dallas show is free, while tickets are available for the other two dates.

Other notable performances include a Nov. 6 show at The Pony Denton, where J.Isaiah Evans & The Boss Tweed will support Greyhounds. The Dallas band recently won first place at Shreveport PrizeFest. That same evening, Linny Nance & Network will perform at Chocolate Secrets in Dallas. Nance has toured Europe, Japan, and the Caribbean, and has worked with Grammy-nominated vocalist Breggett Rideau. On Nov. 7, La Bell will perform a free midday set at Kettle Art Gallery, blending classic R&B with hip-hop rhythms.

Two major multi-day events round out the month. The 3rd Annual Fort Worth Songwriter Festival takes place from Nov. 12 to Nov. 15 at Tulips FTW. The four-day festival features multiple stages and more than 90 acts, including Bolton Serunjogi, Theo Carracino, and Cameron Smith. On Nov. 14, Denton's Dan's Silverleaf hosts the 23rd annual Denton Rock Lottery. In this event, 25 musicians are randomly divided into five bands. They have 12 hours to write and rehearse three to five original songs before performing at 10 p.m. The same day, Cool Beans Bar & Grill in Denton hosts Beanstock 2026. Admission is a suggested donation of two canned food items or one case of water to benefit the Denton Water Project and local pantries. The 34th anniversary celebration features Cory Cross & The Burden and Wish Kit.

The month concludes on Nov. 28 with The Echo Lounge & Music Hall in Dallas celebrating its fifth anniversary. Cure For Paranoia, a 2026 Tiny Desk winner, will headline the event. Supporting acts include Rosegarden Funeral Party and DAMOYEE. D Magazine will present a post-show afterparty featuring Brandon Blue. The venue will sell tickets for the main show, while the afterparty takes place upstairs.
