A statistical model that simulates every NFL game 10,000 times has entered Week 8 with a 58-51 record on top-rated picks dating back to 2024. The model, which is up more than $5,000 for $100 players on top-rated picks, identifies three specific wagering opportunities for Sunday's 12-game slate. These bets are available at BetMGM Sportsbook, where new users can claim a bonus code for up to $1,500 in bonus bets depending on their location and initial wager outcome.

The model backs the Detroit Lions to cover their 3.5-point spread against the Minnesota Vikings. SportsLine NFL expert R.J. White supports this pick, noting that the Vikings are the only undefeated team remaining but have struggled offensively. White points out that Minnesota has scored just four touchdowns since Week 1 and failed to record any 50-yard receiving performances in a recent matchup against the Colts. The Lions defense limited explosive plays against the Packers last week with Brian Branch in action, holding all receivers under 60 yards.

For the Kansas City Chiefs versus Denver Broncos matchup, the model projects the Under 40.5 total points to hit in 55% of simulations. Kansas City ranks 14th in scoring offense at 23.8 points per game, while Denver sits 25th at 20.6 points per game. The Chiefs were held scoreless in a 20-3 loss to Seattle last week. Denver has averaged 18 points per game over its last three contests prior to a 30-point output against the Cardinals. The Under has gone 5-2 in Denver games and 4-2 in Kansas City games this season.

The final pick is a player prop on Commanders tight end Chig Okonkwo to go over 31.5 total receiving yards. SportsLine expert Brad Thomas highlights Okonkwo's recent surge, citing 11 catches on 13 targets for 129 yards in the last two games. Thomas notes that the Eagles have struggled against tight ends, with players like Tommy Tremble, Brenton Strange, and Tyler Higbee clearing this number against them. With Terry McLaurin out for the year, Washington relies on Okonkwo to move the chains against the Eagles.

Combining these three wagers into a single Sunday bet at BetMGM Sportsbook yields a potential payout of +580, meaning a risk of $100 could result in a profit of $580. Odds are subject to change. The Sunday slate includes divisional matchups such as the Steelers versus Browns and the Eagles versus Commanders on Sunday Night Football. The Commanders are favored by six points at home, though they face an Eagles team without wide receiver DeVonta Smith due to a hamstring injury.

BetMGM offers responsible gaming tools including live chat, gaming limits, and timeout options for bettors. The sportsbook also provides contact information for helplines like 1-800-MY-RESET, which are available via call or text 24/7.
