President Donald Trump told a crowd in Salina, Kansas, on Sunday that people had asked him years ago if he was dating his sister. He said he replied, 'Is it true that you are dating your sister?' and received a negative answer. He added that the topic had never crossed his mind regarding marriage or dating.

Trump spoke during a midterm campaign stop. He noted that he has two beautiful sisters. One sister, Maryanne Trump Barry, died in 2023 at age 86. She served as a federal judge. The other sister, Elizabeth Trump Grau, is 84 years old and is the President's only living sibling.

The President used the anecdote to echo a claim he previously made about Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.). Trump has suggested that Omar married her brother. That claim has not been proven. Omar's home was raided recently. The Justice Department is reportedly investigating her citizenship.

Trump made a similar joke about incest at a rally in Daytona Beach, Florida, earlier in the cycle. He framed the story about his sisters as a humorous moment. The audience laughed during his remarks in Kansas.

The President's campaign trip included stops in Iowa and Kansas. His schedule featured other unusual topics. He claimed he would have won the Vietnam War in a week. He also criticized the NFL's kickoff rule, describing it as bad.
