Guest House, a restaurant concept from Austin-based RDM Hospitality, will open its Dallas location on Wednesday, November 18, at 1900 Cedar Springs Road in Uptown. The establishment occupies the space previously held by Sugar Factory, which closed in August 2024. This opening marks the fourth location for the brand and its debut in the Dallas market.
The timeline for the new tenant shifted rapidly. Oxford Rose Tavern and Supper Club was previously identified as the potential next occupant of the Sugar Factory space. However, RDM Hospitality announced the Guest House concept only a few months before the scheduled opening date. The group also operates The Italian Osteria, The Henry Public House, and Clover Sixty Seven in Austin, alongside other properties outside of Texas.
The menu follows the same New American dining format used at Guest House locations in Austin, Las Vegas, and Scottsdale. Corporate executive chef Todd Mark Miller, who previously led culinary programs at STK Steakhouse, created the food and beverage offerings. The menu includes spicy rigatoni, steak tartare, wagyu pastrami, chicken tenders, and parmesan-crusted filet mignon. A raw bar and caviar service are also featured.
The signature presentation involves a table-side wagyu service. A minimum 3-ounce cut of beef is cooked via hot rock in front of guests. The restaurant will also serve tuna and caviar cones. Complimentary croissant-brioche is provided to diners. The cocktail program includes signature drinks such as the Tugley Woods and Magic Mushroom, along with an espresso martini and a new martini program.
John Sofio, founder of hospitality design firm Built Inc., designed the interior. Sofio also designed the West Hollywood Delilah location. The space is intended to transition from a dinner setting to a lively social atmosphere as the evening progresses. The venue includes a DJ to support the social environment.
Guest House will operate on a specific schedule. Hours are from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday. On Fridays and Saturdays, the restaurant will remain open until 11 p.m. Reservations for the Dallas location are currently available on OpenTable.
