Jay-Z will perform the halftime show for Super Bowl LXI on Feb. 14, 2027. The NFL, Apple Music, and the artist announced the lineup on Monday. The game is scheduled for SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California.
Roc Nation, Jay-Z's production company, has managed the halftime production since 2019. The firm recently secured a five-year contract extension that keeps it in the role through 2029. This partnership has shifted the focus of recent shows toward hip-hop and rap. Bad Bunny, Lady Gaga, and Ricky Martin performed at last year's event in Santa Clara.
Los Angeles hosted the 2022 halftime show, featuring Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Mary J. Blige, and Kendrick Lamar. Recent performers also include Kendrick Lamar and SZA in 2025, Usher in 2024, and Rihanna in 2023. Jay-Z has not previously performed at the Super Bowl, despite his ties to the league and past acts.
The 25-time Grammy winner is currently touring to mark the 30th anniversary of his debut album, Reasonable Doubt, and the 25th anniversary of The Blueprint. The tour began with three nights at Yankee Stadium in July. He followed that with two shows in London and one in Paris in September.
Jay-Z completed the tour with two concerts at SoFi Stadium on Oct. 23 and 24. These final scheduled shows took place at the same venue where he will perform in February. The NFL has not announced other details regarding the production budget or guest appearances.
