Felix Omoruyi stood accused in federal court of running a long-term sex trafficking operation from DeSoto, Texas.
A federal grand jury indicted the 39-year-old on charges of sex trafficking by force, fraud, or coercion and sex trafficking of a minor. Court records show he compelled five adult women to perform commercial sex acts for his financial benefit between 2007 and 2025. One of those women was trafficked beginning when she was a minor.
Omoruyi was arrested in November 2025. Prosecutors say he attempted to destroy evidence after his arrest by contacting victims and witnesses to influence their statements and testimony. He also faces charges for attempting to destroy, alter, or conceal a document and for obstruction and interference with the enforcement of the sex trafficking statute.
The U.S. Attorney's Office for the Northern District of Texas filed the indictment. If convicted, Omoruyi faces a prison sentence of between 15 years and life in prison. He would also be ordered to pay mandatory restitution to his victims.
